Avalonian Training Intensives

Calling the Barge, April 1999  -  Hawks Above -  Cloudland, Georgia

The Sisterhood of Avalon sponsors Training Intensives at various times and places throughout the year.  Presented around the United States and Great Britain since 1998, these Intensives allow women to learn Avalonian ritual, techniques, tools and philosophy from an experiential perspective. Come to connect with the Goddesses of Avalon, and learn how to heal and empower yourself as you align with the Cycles of the Universe.

Level One - Calling the Barge

The Level One Intensive is for all women seeking the ways of Avalon. For newcomers to the Goddess path it is an excellent starting point; for women who have been walking this path it is sure to deepen connections both with the Lady and with the self, from a uniquely Avalonian perspective.  Time is spent both in experiential workshops and in quiet devotion and inner work. There are several rituals over the four days of the Intensive, which include a drumming/chanting circle, a labyrinth working, and an Avalonian Moon ritual. You return home with tools for self-exploration and for connection to the Goddess within you.

The Level One Intensive is highly recommended for solitaries and women wishing to establish and facilitate SOA Learning Circles and Hearths.

The Intensives that follow the Level One are open to Sisterhood of Avalon members who have completed the work of  the previous Levels. More information about Levels Two and Three  is available to SOA members upon request.

For more information about Intensives, please contact our SOA Intensives Coordinator
